Event description
The Limestone Frolic is presented by the Ipswich Libraries for Galvanized – A Festival of Heritage that showcases the best heritage experiences and events Ipswich has to offer across 10 days from 4-13 September.
Join us at the Frolic to celebrate the joy of historical dance as you discover how music and movement connect us to Ipswich’s heritage.
Enjoy lively demonstrations before stepping onto the dance floor to experience these dances yourself.
At the Limestone Frolic, Dr Heather Blasdale Clarke will demonstrate and teach a selection of dances with the accompaniment of Australia’s premier historical dance band, Phillip’s Dog. Be transported to an age where dance music was full of glorious melodies and celebrate Ipswich history through dance.
